Madison manifested art into her life. Now she can’t live without it.

Madison was my first cold call after deciding to reboot the project. She was gracious, patient, and gung-ho for the whole experience (thanks Madison!).

With my first series of Artists In Jackson project, I kept the portrait sessions pretty simple: capture the artists doing their work, and then capture some portraits in their space.
For this series, I want to be a little bit more experimental. Take Madison’s in-studio portrait - I grabbed a multi-colored LED light and blasted her with pink light:
Fun, right? And after talking with Madison, this approach fit her colorful, artistic personality.
Projects should be opportunities to learn new things, and I’m taking that spirit to heart with Artists In Jackson 2.
